I make photographs and field recordings for people who love the quiet parts of a place, the soft light, the small details that usually pass without notice.
I grew up on the South Plains of West Texas, where wide skies and big weather taught me to slow down and look longer. I later studied at Texas Tech, then moved to Fort Worth for law school, and I have built my life here with my wife, kids, and grandkids. No matter where I am, I still carry that West Texas sense of space and stillness.
My work is rooted in curiosity about people and landscapes, and about how light, sound, and story can meet in a single moment. I am not chasing perfection or spectacle. I am chasing presence. The feeling of standing there, listening, noticing, and letting something honest show up.
Most of my favorite images come from walking without a plan. I follow the way the light falls, the way the wind shifts, the way a place holds its history. A camera and an audio recorder help me pay attention, and they help me bring home what I felt in that moment.
If my work connects with you, I hope it feels like an open door. A pause. A breath of space. Something that reminds you of a place you have been, or a place you still want to go.
